Circade ("we", "our", or "the app") is a sunrise alarm clock for iOS. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Access

Location (GPS coordinates)

• We request your device's location solely to calculate the sunrise time at your position.
• Your coordinates are sent to the public sunrise-sunset.org API to retrieve sunrise and sunset times.
• We do not store, log, or transmit your location to any server we own or operate.
• Location data stays on your device and is used only for the current calculation.

Notification Permission

• We request notification permission to deliver your sunrise alarm if the app has been closed.
• We will never send you marketing notifications, promotional content, or spam.

Name (optional)

• During onboarding, we ask for your first name to personalize the alarm greeting.
• Your name is stored locally on your device only. It is never transmitted anywhere.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics, usage data, or crash reports.
• We do not use any third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.
• We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or any personal identifiers.
• We do not create user accounts or profiles.

3. Third-Party Services

sunrise-sunset.org API — receives your latitude and longitude to return sunrise/sunset times. Their privacy policy is available at sunrise-sunset.org.

RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase transactions through Apple's App Store. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Apple App Store — handles all payment processing. We never see or store your payment information.

4. Data Storage

All app preferences (alarm settings, sound choices, cached sunrise times) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. No data is synced to external servers.

5. Children's Privacy

Circade is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or store personal data on any server, there is no personal data for us to delete, export, or modify. All app data can be removed by deleting the app from your device.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
